Question: I want to take the train from Tehran to Istanbul at the end of April. DOes this train sell out? Should I buy my ticket through an agency before I go or just wait till I get there (mid April). Also If I do wait can I buy the ticket in other cities like Shiraz or do I have to get it in Tehran.
I am pretty what date I want to go (last Thursday of April) so maybe I should just pay a bit extra and get it?

Answer: The train for the end of April is not sold out but not opened yet. The thicket rate is about $ 70-80.
You can buy your ticket in any other cities than Tehran, just refer to a train ticketing agent and ask for it.
It is suggested to contact an agent and ask to keep your name in the waiting list to issue the ticket as soon as it is open, until then you may succeed in finding your final date. For more information about the trains in Iran you can check the relevant website: www.raja.ir.
