Iran Travel Q&A

Travel to Tehran the capital of Iran

Question:

I will have two nights in Tehran, any advices about where to stay? I will be busy in the day time, just nights will be free.

Answer:

Tehran is the capital of Iran. It is also Iran's largest urban area and city, one of the largest cities in Western Asia, and is the 20th largest city in the world.

Tehran has a diverse range of peoples, cultures and religions, notably a sizable Armenian community. Many languages are spoken within its boundaries as a result. The city is home to many historic mosques, churches, synagogues and Zoroastrian fire temples. Contemporary Tehran is a modern city featuring many tall structures, of which the Azadi Tower and the Milad Tower have come to be symbols of Tehran itself.

In general there is no 'public' nightlife in Iran unless you like watching Iranian movies or going to fancy coffee shops or shopping malls.

Some of the places to visit in Tehran are Golestan Palace, Niavaran Palace, Kolahstudio-an Art Basement, Sa'd Abad Gallery of Fine Arts, Glassware Museum of Tehran, Iran's National Rug Gallery, Reza Abbasi Museum, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Tehran Theater of the Performing Arts (Te'atr e Shahr), Talar Vahdat Theater, National Museum of Iran, Darabad Museum of Natural History, Sa’dabad Palace, Time Museum, Money Museum, National Arts Museum, Ebrat Museum, Tochal Sport and Recreational Complex, Darband chair lift, Darakeh hiking trail.
