Question: I'm planning a 2-3 weeks holiday in Iran for October. I am more of a nature than a museum kind of guy. I prefer public transport to private cars, but prefer to avoid the 24hrs in a bad bus trip by a 30 minute flight. Also I prefer to see less and have time to enjoy it, instead of trying to see everything. What kind of itinerary would you recommend?
I don't plan on having a return ticket when I enter the country. I'm a citizen of The Netherlands. How should I proceed?

For the visa to Iran you have to fill in the visa form on http://www.uppersia.com/Iran-travel-services/iran-visa.html, it takes about 10 working days to get your reference number and two working days to collect your visa at the embassy by direct referral or one working week by posting the docs to the embassy. You can pay the visa fee in cash in Iran.
