Iran Travel Q&A

I am a Canadian, living abroad in Belgium, and will be applying for a visa through the embassy in Brussels.

Question:

I am a Canadian, living abroad in Belgium, and will be applying for a visa through the embassy in Brussels. I have already applied for the visa authorisation code, and should receive it in less than two weeks. The website indicated that once the code was received that it would take 1 to 3 business days to receive the visa if all the paperwork, pictures, and passport was in order. I called the Iranian embassy in Brussels, the gentleman on the phone said it would take 2 to 3 weeks for a visa.

Answer:

Usually referring directly to the embassy for visa takes longer time about 30 days so it is not suggested. By the way, some of the embassies ask for an invitation letter, in this case you have to use the first option.
the best way is to fill in the visa form on Iran visa application , it takes about 10 working days to get your reference number and two working days to collect your visa at the embassy by direct referral or one working week by posting the docs to the embassy. You can pay the visa fee in cash in Iran.
