I made the trip in reverse direction a few months ago, travelling from Iran to Pakistan via Mirjaveh Taftan border. Last time I felt safe enough to want to do it again, now I'm on my way back to Iran. if you've ever been to Baluchistan you'll no that there are no women there (that or they keep them very well hidden) so being a little white girl wandering around on my own was a little uncomfortable.. plus the guy who owned the bus company I used thought I was a prostitute and tried to buy me. Mirjaveh is a locality in eastern Iran on the border with Pakistan. It is the main road crossing point between Iran and Pakistan. The Pakistani border post is at Taftan. Mirjaveh is also the point where the railway line from Pakistan crosses the border on the way from Quetta to Zahedan. The border immigration opens in the Pakistan side around 9am. There is a gate only on the Iranian side.
